Celebrate "Kindness" in October

Your Seabrook family is demonstrating "Acts of Kindness"

The details....

October 2018 will once again be recognized as Kindness Awareness Month with the purpose of emphasizing and recognizing random acts of kindness. This year the Anti Bullying Task Force (ABTF) has organized two different events that promote the importance of kindness.

l. Community Donation Drive - This year the Anti-Bullying Task Force chose to incorporate a community element by having each school collect designated items based on attendance districts. The school with the most "Random Acts of Kindness " will be determined as winners by the following categories: Level (Elementary, Middle, High) and Overall.

2. Project Kindness 2018 Presents: CCS Got Talent - CCS Got Talent is a talent show and art contest for our CCS students and employees to demonstrate what Kindness means to them. Please encourage those you know to apply and represent your school! !

in Our School....

Several things will be happening within our walls. Mr. Glendening, our school counselor, will be visiting classrooms to present a message on kindness and how each student can engage in acts of kindness. This summer, two of our artistic staff members, have or will put their talents to use. Bonnie Gardner, Art teacher, has painted a "Tree of Recognition" on the wall in the 3 - 5 hallway. Ms. Mary Grice, Cafeteria Assistant Manager, painted a tree on the wall in the K-2 hallway. These trees are a place where students, teachers, administrators and parents can leave notes recognizing positive acts. Parents whom wish to put up a positive recognition are encouraged to see Mr. Glendening, on the 3 - 5 hallway, to secure a Pre-printed form note that the can personalize or you can just write it out on a colorful piece of paper and put it on the clothespin. K-2 parenst can obatin a preprinted form from their child's teacher to post on the tree. JW Seabrook will be participating in the system wide supply collection station. The Cape Fear attendance district is charged with collecting. Juice Boxes and Canned Sodas.

The amount of items collected by each school will be considered your Random Acts of Kindness in support of Partnership for Children and the Child Advocacy Center.
