Faculty NTI Update
Erpenbeck Elementary
THANK YOU MUSTANG FAMILY!
Update for May 5th
***NEW INFORMATION***
Happy Mustang Appreciation Week!
"You will teach them how to fly, but they will not fly your flight.
You will teach them how to dream, but they will not dream your dream.
You will teach them how to live, but they will not live your life.
Nevertheless, in every flight, in every life, in every dream, the print of the way you taught will always remain."
That's pretty awesome.
Much love to and gratitude for each of you this week.
Change from April Board Meeting
Please see below information regrading a change from the April board meeting that is based on a Board of Education Recommendation.
All employees will be given 4 COVID-19 emergency days to use on May 18, 19, 20, and 21.
I will have more information on how this impacts different roles individually, but the last day with students is still the 13th. May 14th is a PD day. May 15th is closing day and the last day now for certified staff.
PD/Drop -Off and Pick-Up Plan
I will be sending something to each team to help communicate to parents the details of pick-up and drop off. Please wait to communicate until you get this.
Everyone will have three hour time slots during the drop-off and pick-up day of their grade level to help ensure that we provide a safe, efficient and comfortable experience for our families. Your one hour window of your classroom will be included in this three hour time slot. For example, if my class is scheduled to come drop -off items at 10 AM on the 15th, I will work 9AM-12PM on the 15th for pick up and drop off. I will work the third table during my class time and support my teammates by working one of the other tables (1 or 2) during the other teacher's time. If my class is scheduled for 3-4 PM, I will work 1-4 PM on that day. I will be sending this all to you later, just wanted to give you a heads up!
Our PD Focus for the end of the year will be on ensuring vertical alignment regarding the NTI instruction. We want to be able to design instruction for next year that meets students where they are. During the time you will not be meeting with the other team or helping with Pick-Up, you will have team time to work through planning and preparation for next year with regards to how this year ended.

***REPEAT INFORMATION***
These days will be May 14th, 15th and 18th. These are PD days. Part of your day will be signing up to help with drop-off and participating with your own class drop-off time. More information will be to come on the rest of the PD!
PLEASE DO NOT send this information to your parents. This is designed to inform YOU! I will send you something specific to your grade level to help you communicate with families.
We will have two grade levels a day, one set up in the loop and one in the parent pick-up. There will be sign up slots for your families within an hour window set aside for your class. I will help you with that.
Set-Up
(outside) 3 tables set up over 6 feet apart for each location with one person working each table in masks and gloves
· Table 1- Chromebooks
· Table 2- Library Books, Teacher/School items to be returned
· Table 3- Student items to be returned to students/ gifts/ new books
Each admin team member will have an area of concentration/focus:

3. Parents will sign up for an arrival time on your Google Form within your assigned window
4. Front office will print off the order of arrival times

6. Materials will be placed on table in the order of which the parents have signed up
7. Parents will pull up to the first table and hand us Chromebook- we will radio student’s name so all tables are ready
8. They will pull up to the next table and hand them library books and other items
9. They will pull up to third table and receive items from teacher.
10. They will then exit the lot
Procedures for Closing Room/Checking Out
*If you are not comfortable coming in and closing out your room, that is OK. Please email Mrs. Pass.
Teachers will begin the process of closing their rooms this week. Please see the attached color coded map. The color of your room matches a day to come to school and close out your room. The building is open from 8 AM to 4 PM each day.
Directions for entering the building:
- Please have mask on you have provided.
- There will be hand sanitizer on a cart outside the front doors. Please use the hand sanitizer first, and then put on the provided gloves on the cart. If there is a line at the cart, please stand six feet behind the person in front of you.
- Please enter through the front doors into the lobby area.
- Mrs. Aimee or Mrs. Beth will be there to take your temperature with a wand-type thermometer that does not have to touch you. If there is a line, please stand six feet behind the person in front of you.
- If you arrive after 8 AM, please use sanitizer and gloves and buzz the buzzer. We will come out and take your temperature and let you in.
· We have restrictions on how we allow people into the building. You have to come on your assigned day. You can’t bring other people with you. It will mess up our required ratio.
· You don’t need to come physically “check-in” or “check-out” with anyone this time. Just be professional and follow the guidelines on the check list. You DO need to clock in on Veritime just like any other day.
· You must practice social distancing at all times
· You must wear a mask when in public areas of the school- hallways, office, etc. Mask can be off if you are alone in your room
· You must wear gloves
· There should not be any gathering of people in any hallway or room in the school. A custodian may help you with something as long as you both practice social distancing.
Student items that they would like returned: Please send Emily.browning@boone.kyschools.us the list of your students who have items that they would like to be returned. We just need to know each student's name. We will have that number of bags waiting for you in your classroom with each child’s name on a bag. Please bag up those items for those students and leave them on one table/desk in your classroom. The rest of the items can be discarded as you clean up your room.
The GRAY button below above the MAP is this year's check out sheet for you. You will mark an X next to each item and then e-mail the sheet to Mr. S upon completion. There will be no in person checking in or out. The sheet has detailed directions.
See your team leader for your team's plan on how to handle this day instructionally.
Below is the MAP that tells you which day you will be coming in the close out your classroom and pack up student items. It is also attached here.

Teacher Mailboxes
Beware of Phishing Emails
Beware of phishing!
Many folks received an email like the below. When end users click the link, it directs them to a page that “appears” to be the Boone County MUNIS Self Service website. We have had reports of several employees entering credentials to this phishing site and now have their credentials compromised. Please DO NOT click on ANY links in emails if you don't know the sender, or if you are not sure if it's real. Example pictured below.
Please, please, please do not enter information on a site from an email – regardless of how real it may look. Some of the folks who entered credentials don’t even know the person sending the email. This is scary, folks. We cannot blindly just be entering credentials. If this had been a link that exposed student data, financial data, etc. we would be reporting a data breach right now. None of us want to be doing that and none of us want our data exposed.
We are all living online right now and scammers know this. We have to be extra careful.
