About Central Park School for Children
Central Park School for Children is committed to nurturing and guiding the natural eagerness of each child to explore, grow, and relate to others. CPSC Middle School empowers all students to become ethical, caring, and critical democratic citizens. We are dedicated to creating a diverse, safe, and supportive community wherein our students can take risks, grow, and explore their unique strengths and interests.
What Makes Us Different?
Service Learning helps foster responsible and compassionate participants in society. It provides students with a genuine opportunity to explore, and builds strong relationships between the school and local community.
Expeditionary Learning guides our middle school curriculum. EL offers a high quality approach to project-base learning where learning is active, challenging, and collaborative. With its emphasis on adventure, exploration, diversity and inclusion, and its incorporation of service, fieldwork, and outdoor learning, EL is a natural fit for our scholars.
CPSC Middle School students explore and discover their talents and interests by selecting from a wide variety of challenging and engaging elective courses. These courses vary, but include wellness and movement, visual and performing arts, and foreign languages.
