NHCS Mask Update
As most of you know, the NHCS Board of Education voted for optional masks in the school setting. Since that announcement, there have been many questions. Below I have attempted to summarize responses for all families.
- Wearing masks in the school building is optional for students and staff.
- Masks must still be worn on school buses.
- Volunteers coming into the school must be masked.
- Contract tracing standards have not changed. We will still follow the NC Strong Schools Toolkit. Please take time to read the section “Handling Possible, Suspected, Presumptive, or Confirmed Positive Cases of COVID-19” beginning on page 14. Here is the link to the document.
- Fully vaccinated is two weeks post the second shot.
- Masking is a personal decision. Please talk to your children about your masking expectations. School staff will not be monitoring masks.
We hope this clears up some of your questions and concerns.
Best,
Delores Overby
Principal

Wrightsboro’s Scholastic Book Fair
Dear Parents and Families,
We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair. Hosted by our staff, this event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our school.
The book fair will be open December 13th-17th from 7:30-9:00 AM and on Tuesday, December 14th during the Family STEAM Event from 5:30-7:00 PM.
Our Book Fair offers a cash-free payment option called eWallet. It’s a convenient digital account that your child can use for shopping at our Fair. Grandparents, friends, and others can contribute, too!
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop online at our school’s Virtual Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.
Check out the book fair website.
Happy Reading!
