Superintendent Dr. Paul Gordon facilitated a conversation with the Board about Board governance and communication. They agreed on Board norms and discussed self-evaluations of Board meetings moving forward.

  • Glenbard West High School Principal Dr. Peter Monahan gave an update from Glenbard West and shared data specific to how District 41 students perform academically at Glenbard West High School. Click here for the presentation.

  • District 41 has worked in partnership with the Glen Ellyn Police Department over the past year to educate staff, parents and students on Run.Hide.Fight. procedures. Chief Communications Officer Erika Krehbiel presented information about this new safety drill being conducted in all of the schools.

Preliminary Budget - Budget 101

Assistant Superintendent for Finance, Facilities and Operations Eric DePorter presented on topics including the budget process timeline, key budget elements, the facilities capital improvement plan, technology plan, department area budgets, and staffing plan. Mr. DePorter also answered a number of Board member questions.

  • Renewal of HumaneX Contract
    Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Marci Conlin presented the request to continue using the HumaneX tool to measure culture climate of District 41 staff.
  • ESSA-School Wide Title I Plan Approval for Churchill School
    Mrs. Conlin informed the Board of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requirement

    to approve an updated Schoolwide Title I plan for Churchill School.

  • Ms. D’Ambrosio asked about the Assessment of Performance toward Proficiency in Languages (AAPPL) test.The Board discussed the topic and asked the superintendent to look into the district going ahead with the AAPPL test this school year.

  • President Bruno brought up the topic of removing the “other” section on the agenda. He asked for consensus to remove “other” from future agendas. The Board came to consensus to keep “other” in the agenda.
