Reminder: UK College Fair on Tuesday, March 5
Going to university in another country is an exciting life-changing adventure. If you are considering overseas study as your next step, do not miss this chance to meet 5 of the top UK universities and find out more about the opportunities available. All of the BEST of U universities are ranked amongst the top 150 in the world and are based in five very different locations spread across England, so you can be sure of a world-leading education in a new and exciting city.
The UK is an increasingly popular study destination for US students due to its reputation for world-class education. In England, degree programs are shorter in length as there are no general studies - you specialize from day one through to graduation in the subjects that interest you. Students coming to England to study can expect to achieve a Bachelor's degree in three years and a Master's degree in just one year, making the UK a far more affordable option than you might expect.
The 5 Russell Group Universities attending are:
• University of Bristol
• Durham University
• Newcastle University
• University of Southampton
• University of York
The evening’s activities will be structured as follows:
6.15 - 6.30pm: Guests arrive
6.30 - 7.15pm: Why choose to study in the UK and find your best fit
7.15 - 8.00pm: Application workshop and University presentations
8.00 - 9.00pm: College fair
Who can attend?
Any student interested in UK Higher Education is invited. The event has been scheduled in the evening so that parents/guardians also have the opportunity to attend. Please note - you do not have to be planning to attend one of the 5 attending Universities to attend, the information will be relevant regardless of the UK universities you wish to apply to.
Registration
The event is totally free and no ticket is required but completing the registration form will help us to establish accurate numbers of attendees. Here's the link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/best-of-u-minneapolis-saint-paul-tickets-56118865036
