Stimulate Economy

Reagan had heroic plans to stimulate the economy by lowering taxes, cutting liberal social programs and dramatically lessening the federal governments role in people's everyday lives.


Following the recession in the 1980's interest rates evened out investments began increasing, employment stayed leveled, and because of that new jobs were created. Making the people more supportive of Reagan

Social Issues

Reagan also won many hearts by opposing the Supreme Court by deciding, that pray in public schools is unconstitutional and women should have a constitutional right to abortion and there privacy from the government.


President Reagan wanted to strengthen the military so he proposed the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI), which would protect the US from nuclear attacks, all while keeping the soldiers safe and given an opportunity to get back home to there families.
