SIXTH FORM

FROM THE HEADS OF SIXTH FORM

Exams are over for our Year 12 students and we hope they have had some time to relax. We look forward to seeing them all again at 8.30am on Monday morning, ready to start working hard on their A2 studies. These last few weeks of term are really important as teachers will be laying down the basics needed to continue with their subject. We insist that all students continue with ALL their AS subjects, even if they are certain they don't want to continue with a particular one. Every year there are students who unexpectedly do badly in one subject and decide on a different combination for A2. If they have not attended lessons they are unable to switch.

Our continued best wishes to Year 13 students who continue with exams.

WELL DONE TO:

Ellie Rayer has added to her hockey international success by being selected to play for the England U21 side. Ellie has been selected for every age category for England including U16 and U18 and her next England cap will be against Germany for the U21 side at Bisham Abbey in June. Ellie, who takes it all in her stride, has her A Levels to juggle around training and when she is not playing hockey she is gaining National Standard times in her athletics event of the 400m hurdles, a very tough race indeed. Ellie is working more closely with the full England Senior Squad having already trained alongside them with the U21 side.

Phobe Webb, rowing in a coxed four for Marlow Rowing Club, gained second place in the J18 competition at the National Schools Regatta on 23 May 2015.

Congratulations to both our brilliant sportswomen.
