3. What did the Han Dynasty require their government officials to pass in order to work in the government? Why or what effect did this system have on the Han Dynasty? What effect did this have on society?
The government requires Confucianism based education to work in the government.
The education system uses the Confucian scholarship of the Five Classics as part of their main testing, so the Confucian principles are learned when people wanted to advance in the Han administration.

11. Why did the imperial government give more power to provincial governors towards the end of the Han dynasty? What kind of powers did these governors have?
The imperial government gave more power to the provincial governors because of outside invasions. The imperial government thought that if they gave the provincial governors more power then the invasions would stop happening. the governors had the power to. levy taxes and command the military forces to stop further invasions.

The Han dynasty is based off of Confucianism.
- This affected the government because they instituted the Chinese civil service bureaucracy where the government to control of everything economical and dealing with classes.

Buddhist merchants from central Asia took monks on their trading routes in China .
there were also Indian monks in chinese cities that translated buddhist teachings to Chinese
- during the Han dynasty, buddhism was recognized in China and changed chinese culture, it also ventured to other Asian Countries

Local schools were built in addition to the national university, and academic pursuits soon expanded into literary pursuits. Richly detailed histories were written during the 400+ years of Han rule, as were poems, prose, and textbooks on math and medicine. the principles it emphasized was be respectful to elders and have a good education system

Paper was good for the economy, so when it became big, it was sold on the Silk Road for money.

There was never before a road that facilitated trade until the Silk Road. the Silk Road connected the Mediterranean regions and china.

The Silk Road extends 4,000 miles, made to go across China. It was built in different time periods, and in different places with loose connections.
6. What kind of products were exchanged on the Silk Road?
The Silk Road was beneficial because it was a great place to trade goods. People traded many different products such as, Chinese herbs, tea, spices, paper, gold, silver, wool, ivory, glass, and bamboo.

Some of the factors that led to the downfall of the Han dynasty was several revolts on the dynasty and a weakened government due to rivalry of power within the government.
