Birth through 3 Months:formula or breast milk
4 through 7 Months:formula or breast milk, infant cereal
8 through 11 Months: Fruits and vegetables
Nutritious Breakfasts
- Are based on a starchy food such as bread, toast or breakfast cereal
- Include milk, yogurt, cheese, egg or meat such as bacon or ham
- Include some fruit.
- Examples: Breakfast cereal with milk, plus some fruit pieces, Leek and potato soup with grated cheese, Meat or cheese sandwiches with raw vegetable sticks

Birth - 520 to 570 calories
Six months - 676 to 743 calories
