iPads in Second Grade!
The students are very excited about having and using the iPads to extend their learning in Room 5. In the past few weeks, each child was matched with an iPad Partner. The class was introduced to several ways to use the iPad to work independently or with their partner. They are able to access online websites such as: tumblebooks to read or be read to and they also have been able to work on xtramath to practice addition and subtraction facts.
The class has also been introduced to multiple apps that allow them to create projects and explain their learning.
Doodle Buddy - This app is an interactive white board.
Sushimath- A fun math game.
Bookabi: A storybook making app with stamps, writing and recording possibilities.
We will continue to slowly introduce creative apps and websites that support our Second Grade curriculum.
