Dos Rios Elementary Rocket Review - December_January

Principal's Connection

Greetings, Dos Rios Rocket Families,

I am excited to reach out to you in a new an interactive way to communicate the great things that have occurred and keep you informed as to what's coming up. In this newsletter, there are web links and videos for you to click on.

As the holiday break is approaching and our 1st semester is coming to a close, we are confident that with increased focus on academics, increasing our teachers' professional development, continued and growing parent support, and developing a school-wide system that increases time-in-class, better behavior and positive relationships, we will see significant academic growth and see our students reach new heights.

I have been in education for 20(some) years. I want you to know, that the students at Dos Rios Elementary are collectively some of the best students I've had the privilege of working for. Although we may have our challenges here and there, I have never seen a school with so much potential. I am dedicated to you, your children and this community to give you my best. When things are going well, I will work to make it better. When it's better, I'll take a breathe and keeping going until it's the best. I know change can be difficult and may come with bumps in the road. Please know, if WE (you and me) choose to see those bumps in the roads as stepping stones rather than stumbling blocks, we can become one of the best schools in the West Valley!!! Once we're there... together we'll keep going until we're the best state-wide.

I hope you all have a wonderful Winter Break.

Principally yours,

Mrs. Annamarie Dowling-Garrott
