Veronica's Message
Stoller Families,
I want to start off by expressing my gratitude to all of you. As a community, we were put through a situation that I hope no one ever has to go through. I can also tell you that as a community, we exemplified what it means to come together for the safety of our students. Although there were some things that could have been done better, our district, law enforcement, teachers, and families have been compassionate and professional towards each other.
Thank you to those of you who were able to join us for the community meeting at Westview High School. If you were not able to make it, here is the link to minutes from that night.
Our attendance this week is evidence that we, as a community, want to provide our students not just an education, but a return to normalcy.
As we look into next week and going to Winter Break, we will start making some changes to better control and monitor building access. As I said in the meeting, I appreciate your support and understanding as we make every effort to make our school as safe as possible. There will be some changes and inconveniences that will impact us all, but they will be with the intent to keep your children safe. As changes are made, I will keep you updated.
Please know that you may not enter the building through the upper back doors. All visitors need to enter through the front doors and check in at the office. Pick up and drop off should only be on the Laidlaw entrance.
I know that you are eager to learn more related to the incident and investigation. Rest assured that as soon as law enforcement is able to share, they will.
Again, thank you for your support through this. From the staff here at Stoller, we appreciate all the kind words and gestures.

PTO Message
Stoller’s next Staff Appreciation day is a "Cookie Exchange" being held on Wednesday, December 19th. Volunteers are invited to donate cookies (homemade or store bought) so that staff can make up a plate full of treats to take home. Please drop off cookies in the front office anytime during school hours on Monday, December 17th or up until 9am on Wednesday, December 19th.
Please note on the sign up (link below) that we are asking 60 people for two dozen cookies each! We really need 120 plates in total so all staff can create a plate to take home and share.
When you deliver donations, please consider bringing them on a paper or plastic plate that can be thrown away or recycled.
Please sign up HERE to donate!
After-School Activity Opportunities
When the weather gets snowy or icy, school schedules may be affected. The District generally posts the announcement of delayed school opening or school closure by 5:15 a.m. All Portland Metro area media outlets announce the information on TV newscasts and online.
The District makes decisions based on the ability to operate school buses safely; the ability for students and parents to get to school safely, and the ability for employees to get to work safely and on time. The decision that is made will be for the entire District. As always, parents may choose to make different decisions based on their particular location.
The District will notify parents and staff via SchoolMessenger with a Non-School Hours Emergency message. Please manage your communication preferences in SchoolMessenger InfoCenter.
