Chalk the Walk!
Let's celebrate the start of the school year by creating positive messages on the sidewalks in front of DAIS! Your positive message will welcome all students back on the 1st day of school on August 24! Please keep messages general (no student names) and let your creativity run wild! There will be a limited supply of chalk available at each community entrance. Bringing your own chalk is encouraged!
Scavenger Hunt : August 17
The Scavenger Hunt and new family open house is being held at DAIS on Thursday, August 17, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Families can participate in a scavenger hunt to help learn the layout of the building!
Come find us at our PTO Table during the Scavenger Hunt - find out what we have planned for the year! We will be accepting memebership enrollment as well! We are so excited to welcome our new 4th graders and new families!
Membership Matters!
The DAIS PTO (Dallastown Area Intermediate School Parent Teacher Organization) is a volunteer based organization dedicated to fostering and supporting a safe, inclusive, educational experience for all students. The DAIS PTO seeks to enhance a community spirit that encourages and celebrates the students and dedicated staff of DAIS! Joining the PTO commits you to nothing other than sharing your support for our awesome school! Can't volunteer? NO PROBLEM! Help comes in all forms and we appreciate them all!

★ Now there are two ways to become a member!
1. Complete the online form - donation link at the end of the online form. Click HERE to submit an online donation of $10 or more.
2. Print the DAIS PTO Membership Form and return it to your community office with your $10 (or more) donation. Checks made payable to DAIS PTO.

DAIS PTO Meetings
We would like to welcome all parents/guardians to attend our first meeting on
Wednesday, September 6th at 9:00 AM - located in the Staff Development Room at DAIS. There will be an opportunity to meet the DAIS Principals, learn about volunteer opportunities, and more! Light breakfast items and coffee will be provided. We are looking forward to welcoming back our returning parents and are very excited to welcome new faces!
For food purposes, we are asking parents/guardians to RSVP for the DAIS PTO Kick Off Meeting on September 6th at 9:00 AM. Click HERE to RSVP for the kick off meeting!

DAIS PTO Challenge Day
On September 11th, DAIS will Kick - Off our fundraising efforts for one of our most exciting events of the year! Our theme this year is First Responders!
DAIS students are encouraged to fundraise during the month of September to support the only building-wide PTO fundraising event for DAIS! Donations benefit students’ educational & recreational activities. In our effort to teach students about giving back to their local community, a portion of the proceeds will also benefit an organization in our community!
As a school-wide celebration of their AMAZING fundraising efforts, all students will be participating in CHALLENGE DAY - SEPTEMBER 29TH! Challenge Week is the 25th - 29th!
