Note from Azuki's Kitchen
Miki from Azuki's Kitchen is excited to list her holiday special breads again this year! She is thankful to those friends who sent her a reminder to ask for them again. She hopes you and your guests will enjoy them for this Thanksgiving Day.
Also, my Sourdough Pita no longer has soy in the ingredients! Now it's Soy Free and made with the organic olive oil instead. I hope you can enjoy this simply-made pita with your filling choices and bring to your Thanksgiving table! My pita bread will make the perfect vessel for your Thanksgiving leftovers - Turkey pita sandwich anyone?
Apple Rings (large and small sizes are available)
Small: $6 (3~5 servings)
Fall Favorite (pumpkin fillings swirled into the breads)
$6 for 1 loaf (550g)
White Round Bread (perfect for sharing with your family and guests!)
What's going on with the Eggs?
Why do we have less eggs on the market?
- shorter days - less daylight = less eggs
- cold weather - hens' bodily resources go into keeping her warm rather than to producing eggs.
- Autumn is molting season - chickens will molt and grow new feathers and produce less eggs
We'll have a new farm on board in December that will bring us more eggs! We should be back to normal by February.
New Items!
Check out these new items just listed on the market!
- Leeks
- Cookie Platters (Small - Large)
- Dessert Bread Platter
- Balm of Gilead Herbal Salve
- Extra Gentle Baby Soap
New Farm: Old Cotton Hill Farms
I am so happy to welcome Chez and Neah Maxwell of Old Cotton Hill Farms, in Pocataligo, Madison County, Georgia to our family of growers and producers! They raise heritage breeds Red Waddle Hogs and Freedom Ranger Chickens. They pasture raise the animals, allowing to forage and scratch as they please while supplementing them with a special order certified organic mixture containing no corn and no soy from Reedy Fork Organic Farm in Elon, NC.
To find all their items in one place you can visit their Co-op Vendor Store on our website by clicking https://www.livingwellga.com/store/oldcottonhillfarms/

PLEASE HELP! Volunteers Needed at pick up!
3 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED NEXT WEEK at 2, 3, and 5pm
Since I'm not sure when the new store will open up I went ahead a created Volunteer schedule until end of December. Please click link below if you can help!
Please consider volunteering during market pick up. I can’t run the market without your help! Shifts are 1 hour long and go by really fast. It's a great opportunity to meet and help your fellow members!
Thank you Melanie, Gwen, Chuck, and Kelly for volunteering last Wednesday! We couldn't have the co-op without our amazing volunteers!!
If you are interested in volunteering but unsure exactly what that involves, please let Nora know and she will do a quick "volunteer orientation" with you on a day/time that you pick up.
