CHS WINS BIG
The Wolves dominated Hamilton 50-14 to win the Battle for Arizona Avenue for the 5th year in a row and become the 6A Premier Region Champions. Congratulations, Wolves! Now we’re on to the Play-Offs! Chandler is hosting Mountain View this Friday at 7:00pm on Austin Field.
MAKE-A-WISH FUNDRAISER
Chandler and Hamilton held a number of fundraisers last week to raise $4746.00 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s “Wish Week.” Thanks to both student bodies for showing outstanding effort for a great cause!

- Thursday, November 2nd: World Language Expo from 4:00-6:00pm in the CHS Courtyard: Chandler High School celebrates its 10th annual World Language Expo. This is a free community event whereby students showcase their linguistic/cultural knowledge via song, dance, games, and more!
- Friday, November 3rd: Play-Off Football Game vs. Mt. View @ 7:00pm
LINK LEADER CONFERENCE
On Friday, October 27th, our CHS Link Crew hosted a Link Leader conference. There were over 340 Link Leaders from 12 different high schools across Arizona. The leaders were able to share their successes of connecting with the incoming freshmen on their campus and were inspired to continue that connection to make a difference in the culture at their school.
SPIRIT WEEK RECAP
During Spirit Week students and staff showed their great Chandler Pride leading up to the CHS-HHS football game. The “versus” week pitted athletes against mathletes, cozy against classy, DC against Marvel, and more. Friday’s Fox10 televised pep rally featured a sea of Chandler blue in the courtyard.
VOLUNTEER FAIR
Our First Annual CHS Volunteer Fair was held October 24th and 26th to encourage students to give back to their community and reach their Impact Chandler Scholar goal of 100 hours of community service. A huge thank you to our partners - Chandler Center for the Arts, City of Chandler Teen Council, Green Teen Corps, Hartford Elementary School, ICAN, Leaders in Training Program, and the Mayor’s Youth Commission.
9TH GRADE PARENTS- IMPACT CHANDLER SCHOLARS PROGRAM
On Monday October 23rd, all ninth graders attended a presentation on the Chandler Education Foundation’s IMPACT Chandler Scholars Program. This program is a recognition reward program for CUSD students that demonstrate academic excellence, exemplary attendance, and a commitment to service in their community. To start the eligibility process, students must complete and submit the Student Participation Commitment Form during 9th grade within the enrollment period of October 23 – November 6. PLEASE encourage your 9th grade student to submit the form to their World History teacher or Kirsten Wiley in counseling by Friday, November 3rd. For more information, visit the CEF webpage.
COLLEGE PRESENTATIONS
All college visits will take place in the CHS College & Career Center, unless otherwise specified. Students should sign up outside of the College & Career Center to attend a presentation. They will receive a pass in class on the day of the presentation.
CARE CENTER THANKSGIVING donations needed
Each year our student organizations join in a campus-wide effort to collect needed items for the Chandler CARE Center’s Thanksgiving Family Assistance Day. Community donations of canned goods, boxed goods and toiletries can be received in the front office between now and Wednesday, November 15th. Thank you for your support!
