SPIRIT WEEK RECAP
During Spirit Week students and staff showed their great Chandler Pride leading up to the CHS-HHS football game. The “versus” week pitted athletes against mathletes, cozy against classy, DC against Marvel, and more. Friday’s Fox10 televised pep rally featured a sea of Chandler blue in the courtyard.
Our First Annual CHS Volunteer Fair was held October 24th and 26th to encourage students to give back to their community and reach their Impact Chandler Scholar goal of 100 hours of community service. A huge thank you to our partners - Chandler Center for the Arts, City of Chandler Teen Council, Green Teen Corps, Hartford Elementary School, ICAN, Leaders in Training Program, and the Mayor’s Youth Commission.
9TH GRADE PARENTS- IMPACT CHANDLER SCHOLARS PROGRAM
On Monday October 23rd, all ninth graders attended a presentation on the Chandler Education Foundation’s IMPACT Chandler Scholars Program. This program is a recognition reward program for CUSD students that demonstrate academic excellence, exemplary attendance, and a commitment to service in their community. To start the eligibility process, students must complete and submit the Student Participation Commitment Form during 9th grade within the enrollment period of October 23 – November 6. PLEASE encourage your 9th grade student to submit the form to their World History teacher or Kirsten Wiley in counseling by Friday, November 3rd. For more information, visit the CEF webpage.
All college visits will take place in the CHS College & Career Center, unless otherwise specified. Students should sign up outside of the College & Career Center to attend a presentation. They will receive a pass in class on the day of the presentation.
CARE CENTER THANKSGIVING donations needed
