Family Engagement Newsletter
Calhoun County Schools: January 2022
365 New Days. 365 New Chances.
2022. Can you believe it?! 2021 holds different memories (both good and bad) for each of us. The good news is that we choose what perspective we bring into each day, each week, and each year. This month's newsletter will provide you resources for goal setting as well as opportunities in the community for your student. As we start this new year, let's be kind to ourselves and always remember we have 365 new days, 365 new chances.

Setting S.M.A.R.T. Goals
Whenever you hear the word "New Year", the word "resolution" is bound to follow. Though there is nothing wrong with setting New Year's resolutions, for some people guilt is heavy if they don't meeting the expectation they set for themselves. If you or your child sometimes struggle with this pressure, try setting "intentions" instead and identify S.M.A.R.T. goals on how you can maintain those intentions.
S.M.A.R.T. Goals Are:
- Specific
- Measurable
- Achievable
- Relevant
- Time-bound
