"Stay Home Missouri" Order
***updated 4.20.2020
On April 16, Missouri, Governor Parson extended the "Stay Home Missouri" order through May 3, 2020. Scott City R-1 will stay current and comply with all recommendations. If the Governor would extend the stay at home order then we would push back the round-up. The health and safety of our community is our #1 priority.Kindergarten Round-up **Dates changed
To follow the CDC recommendations for social distancing we ask that you stay in your car and we will come to you. We will do our best to make this process as quick as possible but you can do your part by following two important steps. 1) Have your registration packet completely filled out. 2) Bring all the required documents, we will be able to make copies for you if you needed. Cones will be set up so please pull up to a parking spot and we will come to you.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Kindergarten Round-Up?
Kindergarten Round-Up, also referred to as Kindergarten Registration, is the opportunity for parents and/or guardians to register their child for school.
What happens at Kindergarten Round-Up?
Parents and/or guardians will provide school personnel a copy of your child’s birth certificate, show proof of residency, provide your child’s immunization record, and complete enrollment forms. Kindergarten registration forms will be available for pickup before the round-up. They may be completed at round-up or prior to round-up. (To save time, we highly encourage you to fill out the packets beforehand.) Kindergarten registration packets will be available in the front of the elementary next to the educational resources.
Should I bring my child to Kindergarten Round-Up?
No, you do not have to bring your child because we will not be having kindergarten screenings due to school closures.
When will I be notified of the name of my child’s kindergarten teacher for 2020-2021?
Class lists are typically available the Friday before the start of the school year.
Why is it important for me to register my child now?
Kindergarten Round-Up has many benefits. It helps us know how many kindergarten students to expect and it also allows us to get the students enrolled, processed, and plan for transportation. These are all essential in making preparations for the upcoming school year.
What is the best way to keep up with school happenings?
We highly encourage you to follow our Facebook page Scott City Elementary -Scott City R-1.
What if I have questions when filling out the form?
You may email the counselor, Stacy Cossey at cosseys@scr1.org or the principal Keisha Panagos at panagosk@scr1.org.
