You will receive your end-of-year countdown at our next staff meeting on Wednesday, May 8 at 4:30 pm. Snacks will be provided!

Thank you!

Thank you to our PE coaches, Bridget Horton, and Maria Guerra. Field Day was a great success! We all appreciate the many hours of hard work dedicated to make this a fabulous event for our students, staff, and parents!

Thank you to Kelli Blankenburg, Shelli Sharp, Tonya Koops, Vickey Tryon, Pat Weiman, Dawn Henning, and Paula Launikitis. They dedicated their Saturday morning to some of our 5th-grade students. A science camp was held from 8 am to noon this past Saturday, and it was a great success!

Staffing for Next Year

We have continued to make some recommendations to fill our openings for next year. We have added Rachael Walker (AB teacher) and Colin Ham (AB aide) to our staff, along with Cara Cunningham (Pre-K aide). As I receive information about them, I will add it. I've also added Samantha Gerron's (4th language arts) information.

Samantha Gerron (4th)-My name is Samantha Gerron and I am so excited to join the 4th-grade team at A. Robison! This will be my 3rd year teaching. I have previously worked as a 5th grade ELA teacher at Emery Elementary in CFISD. My husband's name is Jordan and we have a 5-year-old son named Cohen. He is also excited to become a Rocket and begin his kindergarten year at this great school! I am originally from Chicago, so I am a huge Chicago Bears fan. I love going to the beach, spending time with my family, and reading.

Michelle Nixon (Pre-K)- I Love to work out, do Zumba, and I am a runner. I would love to host a class after school for Zumba next year if any staff is interested. The most important personal info about me is that I am an overly obnoxious Die Hard Florida Gator and obsessed with my dog Tim Tebow. Professionally, my passion is early childhood and presenting staff development and my greatest accomplishment in the district was writing the pre-k curriculum guide last summer.

Katie Todd Noble (PPCD)-I'm excited to join the PPCD team at A. Robison to kick off my tenth year of education! I previously worked as a Special Education teacher in Austin ISD and in Cy-Fair ISD at Fiest and Hoover. Last summer, I joined the training cadre as a Quantum Learning facilitator for the district. I am married to my husband Ricky, who is also a Cy-Fair teacher, and together, we have a three-year-old son named Ben and two dogs. My favorite color is green and when I'm not working, I enjoy live music, photography, and relaxing with my family.

Allison Hamling (PPCD)-I am so excited to join the Robison Rockets. I can’t wait to meet all of you in August. I will be bringing over 8 years of teaching experience, five of which have been dedicated to PPCD. When I am not busy with school, I love to spend time with my rambunctious 3-year-old daughter and husband.

Michelle Vicary (4th)-My name is Michelle Vicary. I live in Coles Crossing with my husband, Brent, our twin girls, Ashlyn and Taylor, and our dog Maddie Mae. We love Aggie football, good food, and hanging out with our family and friends. I have been an educator for 21 years in CFISD. During this time, I have worked at Matzke Elementary and Pope Elementary. My experience includes 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and administrative positions. I am excited to be joining the Robison family and meeting everyone.

Kellie Vozar (4th)-Hi, my name is Kellie Vozar. I'm so excited to be joining Robison next school year as a 4th grade Reading/LangArts teacher! I am coming from Tipps Elementary, where I have taught 4th grade the past three years. A little bit about me, I have a horse named Koda and a sweet dog named Dixie. In my free time, I love going indoor rock climbing, running, and competing in rodeos. I can't wait to get to know you all, and I'm looking forward to a fantastic school year!

Lauren Pawlak (3rd)-My name is Lauren Pawlak. I am so excited about becoming a Robison Rocket. I have been teaching for 10 years, most of those years in 3rd-grade math/science. When I am not at school, I love spending time with my family, friends, and working out with my Camp Gladiator community. Although I do not have any kids of my own yet, I have 3 nieces (one was just born on April 17th) and one nephew (another nephew is coming in August). I am so excited to see what next year brings!

The 2019-2020 calendar planning meeting will take place on May 22. This should be attended by one grade level representative (usually the team leader), all large group teachers, and all administrators. Please be sure to give your representative your input for this meeting. If your grade level has requests for specific dates, please be sure to share those; however, please have back-up plans due to the number of events that must be scheduled. We want to do everything possible to avoid events in May. There are already so many events taking place (STAAR, end-of-year parties, 5th-grade awards, etc.). We don't want to purposely add events to this very busy time of year.

If you are attending this meeting, please register for course #10307. The meeting will take 2 hours (4:30 to 6:30 pm). If you are unable to attend for the full two hours, please ask someone to attend in your place.

End-of-Year Conferences

If you have not completed your reflections, please do so in the next couple of days (Domain I and Domain IV). These are loaded directed into CFPGS for you to place your comments. If you are "on-cycle", it is expected that you reflect on Domains I and IV. If you are "off-cycle", it is expected that you reflect on Domain IV. Part of Domain IV is completing all of your goal setting and reflections on time. Please be sure that everything in CFPGS is updated. The growth tracker chart should have been updated all year. End-of-year conferences begin this week for some, so we greatly appreciate your attention to completing this information.

CFISD Bond Election

The district is sharing weekly videos and posts on social media to keep the community informed about the upcoming bond election. If you live in CFISD, you are able to vote. Early voting will take place at Juergen's Hall from April 22-30 (7 am to 7 pm, except for Sunday, April 28- 1 to 6 pm).
