The Willard Weekly

January 11, 2016

Dear Willard Families and Community,

The second half of our school year is off to a terrific start. We are very fortunate to have so much needed rainfall. The snow in the mountains is really enhancing the TK/K IB weather unit.

Our IB attitude for the month of January is empathy. Empathy is the ability to consider another's situation, in order to understand his/ her emotions and reasoning. The profile attribute that we are celebrating is being principled. Being a principled person means to act with integrity and honesty, take responsibility for his/her own actions, and have a strong sense of fairness and justice (IBO, 2009). Please share these with your child(ren) and discuss how these traits are helpful in daily life.

The Willard Weekly is posted on Willard’s Facebook page. Be sure to like it.

Did you know that all 4th graders receive a free pass for Federal Parks (families are included)? Please check out this website for more information.
