StoryArk Network Live!, February 22, 9 AM to 4 PM at the Grand Banquet Hall, Stillwater
StoryArk's student groups gather to share their podcast episodes, short films, comedy sketches and short stories and enjoy each other’s company as fellow artists at the beautiful Grand Banquet Ballroom in Stillwater from 9 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, February 22. Executive Producer Lily Percy Ruiz from On Being with Krista Tippet (podcast), Sundance filmmaker E.G. Bailey (film), and Young Adult author Jacqueline West (short story) will discuss with students the fundamentals of their particular storytelling medium. Students will learn how writing for podcast, film and prose are similar and different. In addition, each student group will share their narrative and discuss with each other the themes of the story and the technical details that helped create it. The day will end with a variety show where each group will share their podcast episode, short film, filmed sketch, or short story with family and friends. All creative work will be made available on the StoryArk Network webpage, podcast, mobile app and YouTube channel.
Tuition: $260 per six month session paid by check made payable to StoryArk on the first class; OR, pay via PayPal $46/month (or what you can afford ~ scholarships are available, and no one is turned away for financial reasons.) Student initiated and student led, each project is imagined, designed, and developed by youth. Professional authors, screenwriters, filmmakers, musicians, producers, directors and actors share their expertise and experience, helping students gain new skills in their craft and empowering them to become their best creative selves.
