There's an App for That!
Dear Muskego Lakes Families,
The use of mobile devices to access information that has traditionally only been accessible on a desktop computer has increased our ability to access information and respond in real time. The Infinite Campus app is a "must have" app for families and students looking to keep up to date on assignments, grades, attendance, lunch account balance and more!
If you are not yet using the Infinite Campus App or have it but don't access it much, the information below will provide you with the knowledge to take advantage of this app. Use of the app allows you to partner with your child, increasing their independence in tracking assignments and monitoring grades. Any conversations you have with your child about grades and attendance help them consider the effectiveness of their current strategies and allow them to adjust as needed. These conversations will serve them well as they move to the high school level and beyond.
The Campus Parent and Campus Student apps are available for download. (See links below)

Parents of sixth and seventh grade students: if you are interested in the Project i program for the 2021-2022 school year, there is a Project i application found on the Muskego Lakes website under the Parents & Students section that will need to be completed and turned in with your course registration form.
Parents of seventh grade students: If you are interested in applying for the AVID course for the 2021-2022 school year, please contact Sarah Bauhs at sarah.bauhs@muskegonorway.org for more information.
Parents of eighth grade students: You should have received several IC blasts, letters, and emails from the high school regarding 9th grade registration. We have attached the information below for easy access.
Online course registration for 5th, 6th and 7th graders is due by Tuesday, January 19th. Course selection, (program), cards need to be completed and signed by a parent/guardian by Tuesday, January 19th as well. There is not a "save" button when online registration is complete and we do not want you to print the online information.

Attention 8th Grade Families: MHS Course Registration Information
Eighth grade students received their high school course registration worksheet this Monday in their Social Studies classes. The worksheet is provided to plan out how your student will be scheduling all of their courses online, including core classes. They will need to bring their worksheet back to school on January 28th when they will be meeting with their high school counselor virtually through a scheduled appointment. At this time students can discuss their course selections and ask questions for their counselor to answer. High school online registration is due February 1st. Summer School online registration is open from February 5th - 12th. No late summer school registration is accepted.
In the meantime, here are some resources for 8th grade students and families.

Opportunity for Muskego Lakes Families
Mrs. Bauhs (Teaching & Learning Coach) and Mrs. Malek (School Psychologist) are thrilled to offer an opportunity to go more in-depth into the Collaborative Problem Solving process through a book study using the book, “The Explosive Child,” by Dr. Ross Greene. This book is great for problem solving WITH your child! We know that all children go through times of struggle and, as parents, we often ask ourselves if we are handling those moments in the best way possible. Through the book and our discussions, we hope to learn more about how to navigate those stressful times effectively. Please note, even if you would not consider your child “explosive,” this book club is still for you! When we can better listen to our children to find out what’s hard, we will strengthen our relationships with them and give them the tools to independently find solutions for their unsolved problems in the future.
If you are interested in participating, please let us know by adding your name here:
Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness
With a vision of connecting hearts and minds at Muskego Lakes, we are grateful to bring this opportunity for our students who are both in-person and in virtual.
