University Prep at Yale
Week One Update
We couldn't have had a better first week here at Yale University Prep!!! Our counselors and administrative staff have been thrilled to get to know our 57 bright, hard-working, and energetic students. We've kept them busy with class, homework, and 2 full-length SAT tests already, but they've managed to laugh and smile their ways to the end of each day. We're so excited about what week two will bring!
College Tours
We kicked off our college tours this Tuesday and Thursday with visits to Yale University, Amherst College, and UMass Amherst. Students attended both information sessions and campus tours at all three schools. UMass Amherst earned brownie points (literally) by hosting a delicious lunch in the campus dining hall. With the help of Chad Southerland (Academic Dean), students have learned all about the important questions to ask on a college visit.

UPrep meets Reality TV
Project Runway, Food Network, and The Amazing Race?!
The kids may be studying a lot, but we try to have as much fun as we can when we're out of the classroom! Friday night was our Reality TV Competition. Counselor groups competed against each other in three Reality TV events: Project Runway, the Food Network Challenge, and the Amazing Race. Who won? As you can see from the results, the race was close...

Off to Six Flags New England!
After a week of hard work and studying-- not to mention two SAT tests-- it was time to celebrate! Students and staff took off Sunday for Six Flags New England. After hours in the water park and a marathon of roller coaster rides, we were all exhausted. It'll be a quiet night here on campus as we recover from the day and prepare for our SECOND EXCITING WEEK!
