Health & Wellness
January 18th, 2022
Hello D6 Staff!
As many of you know, the guidance has recently changed. The details of this guidance are covered in last week's s'more. This week I want to highlight one of the major changes. I also have included a link to order free at home COVID-19 tests.
Important Guidance Info
One of the major changes in the guidance is to who is required to quarantine. For those of you that have been vaccinated, are eligible for a booster, but not yet received your booster, you will now be required to quarantine if identified as a close contact outside of the school setting.
For this reason, I am requesting that anyone who has received a booster, please submit an updated vaccine card to me as soon as possible. This will make it easier to identify who has to quarantine and who does not need to quarantine for outside exposures.
We've Come So Far
Although it may seem at times, like we have made no progress in this world of COVID, we have actually come very far. For this reason, I wanted to highlight some of our major strides from last school year to this school year.
- Vaccines are now available to almost everyone. Boosters are available for anyone ages 12 and up.
- Not everyone needs to quarantine, which is a major step towards getting back to normal. Those that do have to quarantine, the time is shorter.
- We have many things in person, such as meetings, conferences, and sports.
- There is options for treatment for those hospitalized with COVID-19.
