SEPTEMBER CLASSES

ESL One Flow Registration / Canyon Ridge Elementary

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 13, 20, 27

9:00-11:00 AM


Adult & Community Education will be offering in-person ESL classes for our parents. The requirement to take part in the ESL class, parents will need to complete an online registration form. Assistance with registration will be available at both campuses. Classes will start the first week of October and end in May 2023.

Parent Training / Community Resource

We invite parents to join us for Community Resources Training to learn more about local agencies that are available for you and your family. We will provide information from several nonprofits that NEISD works with that including (San Antonio Food Bank, Catholic Charities, Workforce Solutions, United Way, Health & Human Services, and others) Please feel free to contact me directly should you have any questions.

Parent Training / Technology Support

WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 21st

9:00-10:00 AM & 5:00-6:00 PM


We invite parents to join us and learn more about Technology Support such as (Skyward, Seesaw, and School Café). Having the knowledge of these sites is extremely crucial in keeping up with your children’s academic success. Our training will answer any questions and give you a better understanding of how to operate sites. Please feel free to contact me directly should you have any questions.

Parent Training / Cyber World & Social Media

MONDAY SEPTEMBER 26th

9:00-10:00 AM & 5:00-6:00 PM


Being a kid these days is hard and adds to the curiosities of the cyber world and it can be both an entertaining and scary place to visit. This presentation will look at the many common applications that tweens/teens are visiting and using. While many of these applications are fun and interesting some kids are using these applications for cyberbullying, sexting, and other things. Predators are also using these applications to connect with your child. The facilitator will discuss the many ways you can protect your child from these dangers and provide tools to monitor what your child is doing online.

Texas Diaper Bank

The Diaper Assistance Program focuses on providing families access to diapers, wipes, and other healthcare items through the Texas Diaper Bank facilities or partner agencies. In addition to basic baby needs, this program also offers educational parenting and health classes, all free of charge.

The City of San Antonio has been working to create tutorial videos for WSA to include how to register for unemployment benefits and how to register for Work In Texas.
