Week in Review
January 13, 2014
We have already had a somewhat bumpy start to the semester. I hope no one had any damage to their homes from the cold last week, and that everyone's holiday break was restful.
This Wednesday we welcome a new employee - Caryn Shaw - as she joins us in the role of ILL Lending/Nighttime Supervisor. This position had been filled on a temp basis last semester; Caryn joins as a full-time hire.
Because of the weather last week, as you all know, we are rescheduling the workshop. The new date is tentatively set for February 28th. Please mark you calendars now, and I will confirm as everything is lined up with our visiting libraries.
We've had to delay the launch of the University Libraries' new website. The site looks fantastic (you can see it here). Don will wrap up design of the site this month, and we will use this semester to conduct usability testing on the site before a summer launch.
Last week we hosted the meeting of the SAALCK Director's Council. They took a tour late Thursday evening and were very impressed with the work we have put into making this building function as well as it does.
Thanks everyone - have a great week.
Best,
Adam
