Whānau Wellbeing Kete

Each family will receive a Whānau Wellbeing Kete to bring home today.

Over the last year our staff have been part of a ‘Building whole school wellbeing’ initiative in our Catholic Kāhui Ako (cluster of schools). The overall aim of this professional learning programme is for staff, learners and whānau to learn about and use specific wellbeing tools. These will help us all to flourish more and support us (and each other) when we face challenges.

SAVE THE DATE: Whānau Wellbeing Hui Wednesday 28 September 3-5pm.

In your Whānau Wellbeing Kete you will find:

  • a prayer / karakia card

  • a ‘5 ways to wellbeing’ bookmark

  • a growth mindset quote card (multilingual)

  • a packet of seeds

  • Two whānau activities:

  1. A Gratitude Jar whānau activity - share/write a gratitude and stick it on the jar picture or put it in a real jar and see if you can fill it up by the end of Term 3.

  2. A Whānau Wellbeing Bingo card - each time you complete an activity together cut that activity square out and put it in the ‘wellbeing prize kete’ located in the school office - You will go in the lucky draw for a whānau wellbeing prize at the end of Term 3!

We would love to see photos of you and your whānau using the resources from the wellbeing kete and doing some of the activities together.

We may share these to our school facebook page and/or feature some in the school newsletter.

Please send photos of activities to Amy Cousins a.cousins@stjamescatholic.school.nz.

We hope you enjoy some fun whānau time!
