Parents of Current 3rd Grade VA Students

In an effort to meet state testing requirements, all 3rd grade students who participate in Virtual Academy during the spring semester will be offered the opportunity to complete the Beginning of Grade (BOG3), CogAT/IOWA, and/or ACCESS assessments at school.

By state mandate, all standardized assessments must be administered in the school building. Participating students will be given a health screening and are expected to adhere to all recommended health/safety protocols before, during, and after the assessment and until they leave school grounds. Transportation services (yellow bus) are available for any family who may need assistance with drop-off or pick-up from school.

Please complete the survey (linked below) for each currently enrolled 3rd grade student in your household. Your responses will help us determine how many testing sessions to schedule over the coming weeks. Dates for each assessment will be announced at a later date.

Beginning January 20th, the Taylor Family YMCA will be offering on-site (at Northwoods) before-school care for students participating in face-to-face instruction during the spring semester. Quarter 3 Student Materials:

Student materials (alignment lessons, manipulative kits, EL books, t-shirts, pictures, etc.) for Quarter 3 will be distributed on January 14th and 15th. Please see the flyers below for more information. We are need of paper grocery bags for the distribution. Donations are greatly appreciated and may be dropped off at the main entry doors.

Fall Pictures Have Arrived:

If you ordered fall pictures, you may pick them up from the school on January 14th and 15th during our material distribution event.

Stay Home When Sick:

Effective immediately, if a WCPSS student or employee does not pass the health screening or if they stay home or are sent home because they are experiencing a symptom of any illness, their household members must also stay home. This means that any WCPSS student or employee living in the same house must quarantine for 14 days. The household members may return sooner than 14 days if the person experiencing a symptom of illness receives confirmation of an alternate diagnosis or a negative PCR/Molecular test.
