RECONSTRUCTION AMENDMENTS
13th Amendment
The 13th Amendment abolished slavery. This had a big impact on former slaves or African Americans who can now live their own lives freely.
14th Amendment
The 14th Amendment gave Black Men citizenship. With this right, all African Americans would have the same citizenship rights as whites. This overturned the Dread Scott ruling.
15th amendment
The 15th Amendment gave African Americans the right to vote. With this Amendment the number of voters increased.
