August (Auggie) Pullman was born with a facial difference that prevented him going to mainstream school - until know. He's about to enter 5th grade at (Beecher Prep setting), and if you've ever been the new kid then you know how hard it can be. The thing is Auggies's just an ordinary kid, with an extraordinary face. (But can he convince his new classmates that he's just like them, despite appearances plot). The genre is realistic fiction.

My biggest highlights are that Amos and his friends came and helped Jack and Auggie escape from some 7th graders who where trying to beat them up. Another highlight was that Miranda backed out on the school play so Auggie's sister could do the star role.

My biggest lowlights were that everyone was really mean to Auggie except for Jack and Summer. Another lowlight was that people were trying to beat them up just because of the way he looked.

Favorite Character and Why

My favorite character is Auggie. This is because he never let's himself down and knew how to take when people said mean things about him.

Why Someone Should Read This Book or Not Read This Book

Someone should this book because it tells them that just because someone looks different dosen't mean they are different and that we should be mean to them.
