Principal's Message
Happy Friday Bobcat Families!
I hope your students had an enjoyable week. We have some great things starting up soon such as Safety Patrol, Bobcat News Show, Strings, and Chorus. Please be sure to lookout for those applications for eligible students. Thank you to those of you who have returned them already. It's starting to feel like a normal year..almost!
I appreciate all that our teachers and families are doing to make the school environment feel as normal as possible for students.
I encourage all of our families to use this extended weekend for safe, self-care! Take time to unwind, reach out to loved ones, and get some much deserved rest.
We hope you enjoy this week's newsletter.
We are absolutely better together and AC Moore STRONG!

SIC MEMBERS NEEDED
Hello Bobcat Families:
The A.C. Moore Elementary School Improvement Council (SIC) is an advisory council to the principal that is focused on school improvement issues. It is made up of representatives of parents, teachers, and community members. The principal serves as an ex-officio member. The SIC meets once monthly during the school year
A.C. Moore Elementary School parent representatives are nominated and elected by their fellow A.C. Moore Elementary School parents. Any parent/guardian of at least one child enrolled in A.C. Moore is eligible to place his/her own name or the name of another parent in nomination.
You can submit your nomination to the SIC on or before Friday, September 10, 2021, via this link https://forms.office.com/r/FNBmp558Cq
For questions or concerns, email Wendee Evering, wendee.evering@richlandone.org
STAR Testing
Parents,
Your child will take the Renaissance Star test this year. The first testing window opens Aug. 23 and closes Sept. 8. This means your child's teacher can administer the test anytime during this window so some students may have tested by the time you see this newsletter. Below is a link to help you better understand the test and how the results will be used.

If you ever have any questions about Star or the results, you may contact your child's teacher or CRT Kellie Romanstine for more information at kellie.romanstine@richlandone.org.
