Block Schedule & Bell Schedule
Hunt is one of four schools implementing a modified block schedule this year. This schedule will allow teachers to have one day per week where students are in their class for an extended amount of time (88 minutes). The extended (block) days allow teachers to do longer and more in-depth learning activities with students that don't fit into a typical bell schedule day. Here is some key information related to the block schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, & Friday are regular 8 period days.
- Wednesday & Thursday are block days. Students will only attend odd-hour classes on Wednesday and even-hour classes on Thursday.
**Block scheduling does cause some students to attend lunch with another grade level depending on the elective they are in. We understand this is not ideal, but we don't want students to give up their elective choice to facilitate a lunch change. Additionally, there is very limited space in classes for them to change into. We are only accepting schedule change requests for level changes (on-level to PreAP or the opposite).
Grading Changes
Dress Code
Please help us with dress-code by monitoring kids shorts, shirts, etc... Schools have a specific dress-code to promote a positive, professional learning environment. See official dress-code standards HERE. Please help prevent these common dress code violations:
- Dresses and skirts must be modest in style, length, and fit and cover all under clothing at all times whether in standing or sitting position.
- Shorts, including athletic shorts, must extend beyond the buttocks and pelvic region at all times.
- Jeans, slacks, shorts and all other pants must be worn at or about the waist at all times. Even if a shirt is extremely long, the pants must be worn at the waist. Undergarments should not be visible at any time. Tears, frays, or ragged edges and holes may only be below the buttocks and pelvic region at all times.
- Clothing should be worn for the purpose for which it was designed. No undergarments or pajamas are to be worn as outerwear.

Fees/Cafeteria Payment Methods
Frisco ISD is excited to offer the convenience of free online payments in the 2019-20 school year. The District will use two separate systems – SchoolCafé for meals and OnlineSchoolFees for other payments such as those for specific programs, courses, activities and more. Parents are encouraged to register now in preparation for the new school year. Instructions and frequently asked questions regarding each system are included at the links below. Payments made via electronic check/ACH will be free. Debit and credit card transactions will include a 3.5% processing fee, which is lower than the District’s previous payment provider. You can manage payments for multiple students with one account in each system. To sign up, you will need the six-digit student ID number for each child. If you are unsure of your child’s number, it can be provided by campus staff.
SchoolCafé - Parents can use SchoolCafé to make cafeteria payments, as well as access breakfast and lunch menus, nutrition information and the application for free and reduced meals. Parents will also be able to manage balances, as well as their student’s purchase restrictions and preferences online or via the SchoolCafé mobile app. If your child is returning to Frisco ISD and had a cafeteria balance at the end of the 2018-19 school year, that balance has been automatically transferred to SchoolCafé. Click here for more information and to access instructions for creating an account with SchoolCafé.
OnlineSchoolFees - Frisco ISD will use OnlineSchoolFees for other District and campus payments. Once you create an account, fees will become visible within the system dashboard as they become due. Payments can be made via computer or mobile phone web browser. Click here for more information and to access instructions for creating an account with OnlineSchoolFees.
In-Person Payments - Frisco ISD hopes parents will find the new online systems to be convenient and user-friendly, but schools will continue to accept in-person payments as needed. Please visit the school cafeteria to make meal payments, where only cash or check will be accepted.
Visit the front office to make in-person payments for other fees. All methods of payment can be accepted, but the same processing fee will apply for debit and credit card transactions.
Child Nutrition Charge Policy
Middle School: Students with no money in their account will be allowed a grace-period to charge a complete meal (must include a fruit or vegetable) up to $13.00 for full pay students and $1.60 for reduced pay students. This will allow time for parents to make a deposit in the student’s account or set-up a payment plan if necessary. Students may not charge any a la carte items. After charging $5 parents will be notified by the supervisor along with an automated call. After charging $9.00 the school principal and counselor will be notified of students reaching this limit. After the student reaches the maximum charge limit, the student will receive and be charged for courtesy meals.
**All balances were carried over to the current school year. If you need to discuss a payment plan option, contact FISD Child Nutrition friscocafe@friscoisd.org.
