ELC Updates from the Office
ABSENCES
If you child will not be at school, please call or email your child's teacher AND our secretary Mrs. Michele.
TRANSPORTATION CHANGES
If you need to make a transportation change for your child please do so by 10:30 for the AM classes and 2:30 for the PM classes.
CAR SIGNS
If at any time you need a replacement for your car sign, please email mjeselnik@usd458.org.
Health Updates from Nurse Corey
HEARING & VISION SCREENINGS
Hearing and vision screenings will begin the week of September 26th. We will screen all PK3 and new PK4 students in the building. If you have concerns with your child receiving these screenings, please contact Nurse Corey. In addition, if your child is a PK4 student that is not new this year and you have vision/hearing concerns, you can also reach out and request your child be included in the screenings.

ELC CLOTHING CLOSET
Please see the list of needs for our clothing closet here at the ELC. Thanks in advance for any donations of gently used items you can help provide. Donations can be brought to the ELC main office.

You can join the ELC PTO for just $5 or a donation of your choosing.
What is PTO? The mission of ELC's Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is to provide the opportunity for parents and teachers to work together for the good of our students. PTO is a parent lead and school sanctioned organization which is dedicated to supporting the educational experience of the children at our school.
We would love to have you join us and help make these decisions for our children.

COMMUNITY RESOURCES
BLAS FOOD FOR KIDS BACKPACK PROGRAM
The BLAS Food for Kids BackPack Program provides a weekly bag filled with food for PreK-5
school children that are in need and who attend school in the Basehor-Linwood School District.
BLAS delivers the BackPacks to your child’s school at the end of each week to be distributed by school staff in the child’s backpack.
Please call our school nurse, Corey Quattlebaum, at 913-662-7150 if you would like to sign your child up for this program.
