We had fun the past couple of weeks with visiting orchestras. We were able to even try out some instruments. We love music and this is also a great way to work on social skills. If you have not taken your child to a music concert, you should! Everyone is so well behaved. This is a great way to practice social skills in the real world. (I know Avary has even been to a Taylor Swift concert!)
Valentine's Day is around the corner. We will make bags for our Valentine's here at school. Check with your homeroom teacher if you need to make a box or bag for their class and get a list of names. PTA will be delivering cookies again on Friday February 12th. We will be having our Valentine Motor lab party next Wednesday February 10th.
We could use the following items: (We have a total of about 22 students)
Bag of candy hearts
Valentine napkins
Cookie or snack
Crystal lite dry packs (I just make a pitcher of Crystal lite)
I recently found out that Spirit Horse closed. I am so sad. I have been going up there for at least 10 years. I am still trying to find another field trip to go to.
In the mean time, Ms. Lindsey has invited us this year to her annual swim party outing at the CAC. Lindsey has done this for the past couple of years for her middle and high school campuses. This year, she invited us! (She loves our students) Mark your calendars for Wednesday May 25th. Be shopping for those swim suits soon. It will be a fun day with Elementary, Middle, and High School special needs students and teachers. I will send more details the closer it gets.
Class pictures are coming up. Information will be coming home in the Monday Message folders.
This Friday is the 100th day of school. We will be making a 100th day snack. I have assigned the following foods. If you can not bring it in, just let me know and I will pick it up. I need the food by Friday morning when the students come to school.
Avary- Chocolate Chips
John-Pretzel Sticks
Maddie-Mini Marshmallows
Ava- Peanuts
Saaketh-M&Ms (plain)
Have a great week!
