Longdale Tiger Talk

Week of September 13, 2021

Fantastic Opening Week!!

We had a great opening week of school! It was amazing to have our students in the building! They were hard at work learning about each other along with routines and procedures that will make their year go smoothly. Even with masks it was easy to see the smiles on everyone's face.

Car Riders

As we have significantly increased the number of students that are dropped off and picked up each day, we ask for your continued patience with the length of the line and amount of wait time. It will get better and better as we work together. To reduce the back up and delays on Norfolk Street follow the diagram shown below.

AM Drop-Off

The safest way to drop of your child is to come through the car loop. DO NOT drop students off in the parking lot. Staff are assisting and monitoring the car loop for students. No staff are in the parking lot. If you park in the lot, walk your child to the crosswalk and wait until they are instructed to cross in the crosswalk only. Keeping students safe is the priority.

PM Pick-Up

When picking up in the afternoon, consider shifting your arrival time to 2:15 p.m. or 2:20 p.m. to reduce wait time. Our priority will continue to be getting students in cars and moving cars through the lot as quickly as possible. Please stay in your car and drive through the loop to pick up your child(ren). Walking up to the door slows down the process. Thank you for your cooperation.
