News from this week
Dear Parents,
Make sure to check all of the important days and activities coming up. Please be sure to scroll ALL the way down as there is a lot of new information/dates in this newsletter. I don't want anyone to miss out on anything!
I am sending home invitations for conferences in this week's Friday Folder. I will email progress reports with all updated grades over the weekend after I finished grading everything. We have early release days on February 21st and 22nd. Many of you will receive invitations for our Conference Celebration on Wednesday February 21st, where students will share their grade reports, reading/writing continuums, and some writing samples with you. There will be an open window from 3:00-5:30 for you to stop in. Others will receive information for how to sign up for individual conferences so that we can meet to discuss areas of concern. If you receive an Conference Celebration invitation, but prefer an individual conference, please mark your preference on the sheet and I will contact you to schedule a separate conference.
The Friends and Family Lunch is coming up on Monday February 12th. Our lunch time will be from 10:35-11:05 on this day. We will be eating at tables 3 & 4. This is always a really fun event! So that other classes may enjoy their family time as well, we will be eating in our classrooms on Wednesday February 14th.
All donations for "Jump Rope for the Heart" are due on Friday, February 23. Students brought home more information about this event last week. Thank you for the donations made so far.
I am including a class list in your child's Friday Folder this week for those that would like to bring in Valentines or treats for their classmates. It can also be found below. This is an optional activity. We are not having a party. Any treats will have to be individually wrapped for students to bring home. If you choose to send in valentines, please be sure to include all classmates.
Have a great weekend!
Sabine Stoffle
