Final Salute
With the permission of Dr. Hamilton, I am able to graciously ask from the Teachers at Boonsboro High School, if any of you have any slightly used professional suits or business attire; blazers, blouses, jackets, skirts, dresses, dress pants; professional footwear; pumps, flats, or wedges and accessories; scarfs or costume jewelry that you no longer want or need, would be willing to donate them to a worthy cause? I would be willing to accept them on behalf of finalsaluteinc.org.
It is estimated that there are currently 55,000 homeless women Veterans in the United States on any given day. For the sacrifices they and their families have made, this is an unacceptable state for any of them to be in. Final Salute Inc. believes in paying women Veterans with the proper respects due to them for the service they have provided to our country. Final Salute also works with the Veteran in establishing her plan towards independence.
Final Salute has provided professional clothing, shoes, head-shots, and make-overs to over 350 women Veterans and transitioning military women through “Stand-Up” events over the past two years. On May 7th of this year, Final Salute will once again be providing these donated items to women Veterans at the “Stand Up” event at the Women’s Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery.
I will be collecting items until the end of the day on Thursday April 7, 2016; items may be dropped off to my office in the library. You may go on the website: finalsaluteinc.org if you would like a receipt for tax purposes for items donated. Thank-you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely, Starlene
