Two weeks in 21 seconds

We've had quite the few weeks at Potter Road as students have celebrated 100 days of school and staff had some fun last week taking part in Fun Lovin' February! During the week, they engaged in games, trivia, dressed in costumes representing teams or superheroes, and enjoyed foods that were either colored red or packaged in red packaging! See the video above to get a glimpse of all of this.

Principal Search

It was a bittersweet week for me as I formally announced my resignation to staff the community. Please know I am working at Potter Road through the end of this academic year.

To this end, the focus now shifts to finding a new leader of Potter Road. Please consider being part of the Potter Road Principal Search Committee. I've included the form that must be filled out by March 1st in this newsletter. I appreciate your input and know that I remain committed to Potter Road and have offered to fully support the transition of a new leader.

Please see the following regarding a nutritional study being conducted at Boston Children's Hospital.They're looking for 9-12 year olds to participate in the study.

I am writing from Boston Children’s Hospital about a special opportunity for your students to participate in a unique nutrition study on milk consumption and childhood health.

The study is being run by our team at the New Balance Foundation Obesity Prevention Center. We’re aiming to recruit 9- to 12-year-old boys and girls to participate in the trial. The study will compare the effects of whole milk and nonfat milk on nutrition and health-related outcomes.

Eligible children whose parents decide to enroll will receive free milk deliveries from Crescent Ridge Dairy in Sharon, MA, for a full year, with the possibility of financial compensation as well.

We would like to let parents know about the study through newsletters, bulletin board postings or other venues at your schools. If this might be possible, or if you have any questions, please contact us as below.
