Let's Learn...Together

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff of the Willets Road School Community,

Social Media has a significant influence and impact on the lives of adolescents today. It also has great potential, to meet learners "where they are"and to take them places we can hardly imagine.

The purpose of this communication is to take a closer look at the role Social Media, Digital Citizenship, and Digital Leadership plays in the lives of our students, and the adults in their lives. Let's consider the potential and the impact for how our sustained attention on this, together, will help our students thrive, as learners and as leaders in the 21st Century.

In the words of Margaret Wheatley in Turning to One Another: Simple Conversations to Restore Hope to the Future (2002):

"There is no greater power than a community discovering what it cares about."

I look forward to embarking on this journey, together.
