PTO BOARD OPENINGS
There are still available positions on the 2018/2019 Union PTO Board. It has been no secret that we've had a great time this year so now is your chance to join the fun. Let us know if you're interested and we'll find a spot for you! The seats are going fast, but we are still looking for a Vice President, Treasurer, Star Student Lunches, Two people for Hospitality, and some Book Fair help. Don't see something that interests you? No worries, we can make a spot!
The next PTO meeting is April 17 at 7pm in the Union Café. At this meeting we will be shamelessly gossiping about anyone who hasn't signed up for one of the open board positions.

The planning committee is accepting bids for the production of more than 3,000 Jog-A-Thon T-shirts. If interested, please send an email to email@example.com, and notate that you would like the opportunity to bid. Upon receipt of your email we will forward a Request for Proposal to you. All emails of intent are due no later than April 6th. Thanks!
Next week, Kendra Scott has generously offered a Union PTO shopping night at the Keystone at the Crossing Store. 20% of the profits during the event on March 28 will come right back to your Union PTO. So if you didn't get what you wanted at the Soiree jewelry pull, need something to match what was in your bag or missed it all together, March 28 is your chance. Moms' Night Out?! Who's in?

Zionsville Passing Flag Football League: Grades 2nd-6th
Zionsville Passing Flag Football League is designed to give student athletes an opportunity to participate in football without pads and contact. Practice/Games will be on the same day once a week. There will be 30-40 minutes of practice immediately followed by 80-90 minutes of multiple games. High School/Middle School coaches will be running the practices and games with assistance from ZYFL youth league coaches. We will focus on developing the skills needed to execute and defend the passing game. All participants will have an opportunity to run routes, catch footballs, and defend receivers in practice and games. There is no blocking or tackling involved in the league. Teams will consist of 5 v 5 on a condensed field. Quarterbacks will be selected through an evaluation process. The teams will be grouped by grade level (possibly combining grades 2/3, and 4/5/6 depending on the number of signups). Jerseys will be provided with signups as well as mouthpieces and flags. Football or soccer cleats are recommended but no metal baseball spikes. Registration closes March 25, 2018.

Necessary background check paperwork is available on the ZCS website at the Volunteers/BRAVO link and should be submitted at least 10 days prior to the intended volunteer date. Volunteers must also view the state mandated confidentiality/bullying video, provided on the Volunteer/BRAVO website. The volunteer will pay the fee* for the full background check which will expire after 5 years. The link to apply for the full background check can be accessed on the Volunteers/BRAVO link on the ZCS main webpage. For more information, contact the Volunteer/BRAVO Coordinator.
CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS FOR VISITORS
During the school day, all visitors must enter via the front door and sign-in at the front office. Visitors need to be prepared to present a government issued photo ID which will be scanned against the National Sex Offender Registry. All visitors will be issued a visitor badge/tag to be worn inside the building at all times.

We ask that all visitors schedule an appointment to meet with teachers, counselors, administrators and all other staff members so that we may best serve everyone. Visitors other than parents/guardians must be prearranged and organized through the main office.
*ZCS thanks all volunteers for generous support of our youth and schools. Thank you, too, for supporting assurance of student and staff safety by completing and paying for a volunteer background check.
