Return to In-Person Learning Form
In order to plan effectively for the return to 100% in-person learning, we are asking every family to indicate which model you are choosing for your child(ren). Please take time to complete the linked selection form by 4:00pm on February 17, 2021, to provide us with this information. It is important to note that we are requesting and strongly encouraging families to remain in their self-selected learning model for the remainder of the school year. Additionally, please note that, even if you have completed the previous selection processes we have shared throughout the year, you need to again fill out this form as we need to ensure we have updated information from all families in order to plan effectively to serve and support all students. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to your child’s school administration. Thank you for your participation in helping us to collect this needed information.
Transition to 100% In-Person Learning
This is exciting news! As you know with each transition brings with it a surplus of details. In an effort to provide families with details regarding the 100% In-Person Model, Wilson and Washington Middle Schools will be working together over the next couple weeks to provide you updates in regards to coming back to full time in person. We want to keep our families informed as decisions are made, while sharing it in a manageable amount of information as to not overwhelm our families.

SWIRL- A School Goal
The Washington Middle School goal is to improve our students' literacy skills by creating an opportunity for every student, every day, in every class to practice the skills of Speaking, Writing, Interacting, Reading and Listening- SWIRL.
We are excited to continue to share SWIRL into every advisory classroom every Thursday. We are all watching a video of a community member or famous person talking to our students about how they use the skills in SWIRL in their careers. Our goal is for students to see SWIRL in every possible job- letting them know that SWIRL is apart of their future.
Thank you to Alyssa, the operations manager at Brix for sharing her story about SWIRL with our students.
