Learning Intentions

Writing Workshop

As writers, we learned go back to previous pieces of writing and add to or revise them. We also learned to stretch out words to write even more sounds.

We are adding to previous stories or revising current one.

Reading Workshop

As readers, we learned to be a storyteller by looking at the picture, remembering what happened and then “reading” the book.

We are reading old favorite storybooks.

Math Workshop

As Mathematicians, we learned to put numbers in sequential order and to write numbers

We put numbers in sequential order.

Science/Social Studies

As Entomologists, we learned that insects have three body parts and six legs. We also learned to look closely and stretch what we see.

Mrs. Riffle demonstrated how to sketch. Then we sketch a butterfly


**Thursday, October 20, 2016 is an early release day. Lunch will be served . Students are dismissed at 11:40.

**Monday, November 7, 2016 is a regular school.
