ASSESSMENT UPDATE

Assistant Superintendent of Student Learning, Dr. Becky FitzPatrick, Assessment Coordinator, Amanda Czerniuk, and Response to Intervention (RTI) Coordinator, Andrea Luessow, presented an update to the Board on the assessment results from the 2020-2021 school year.


Assessment results presented:

  • Formative Assessment System for Teachers (FastBridge), K-1
  • NWEA Measures of Academic Progress (MAP), 2-8


Also this past spring, the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) was administered to third through eighth-grade students and the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA) to fifth and eighth-grade students; however, these test results will not be available until next school year.

MOTION: APPROVED

Award of Bid for Administration Building Multi-Purpose Room Audio Visual Upgrades


During the COVID-19 pandemic, District 25 began livestreaming the Board of Education meetings. The Board of Education would like to continue this practice and hold future meetings at the Dunton Administration Building. Therefore, the District sought bids to upgrade the audio-visual system in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Dunton Administration Building for a more effective and efficient live-streaming experience.

Resolution Authorizing Employment of Superintendent


Assistant Superintendent of Personnel & Planning, Dr. Brian Kaye, recommended that the Board of Education approve the Resolution Authorizing Employment of Superintendent effective July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2024 with all other terms and conditions as reflected.

2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR UPDATE

Dr. Bein shared with the Board any changes to pandemic-related procedures for the summer and the 2021-2022 school year.


Summer U & Extended School Year (ESY)

  • In general, mitigation strategies will continue.
  • Follow guidance once Illinois moves to Phase 5.
  • Allow third parties to use District facilities beginning July 19.

2021-2022 School Year

  • Reminder: Plan is to be full in-person 5-days a week.

Remote Learning

  • Remote learning must be provided to students who are BOTH not eligible for a vaccine AND ALSO are under quarantine.
  • District 25 will have separate, remote temporary classrooms.
