Monthly Update-October 2020
Celebrations to share!
Good Morning Solon High School Families,
We have had a fantastic start to the school year considering all of the challenges that have been put in front of us. The resiliency of our students and staff is like nothing I have witnessed before. Thank you for all of the support and open lines of communication. Please know that as we continue to navigate the day to day changes, we will update you as quickly as possible. Please reach out with any questions or concerns. Have a great second half of your week, Zach

Here are a few reminders as we get ready to start our 2nd and 4th blocks tomorrow:
Headphones-please bring your own if you can. AirPods have proven to be a challenge with connectivity at times, so if you have the old school ones, please use those.
Iowa Scholarship Rule: Our first grading period ends today and we will be finalizing all grades sometime next week. IF your child ends up failing a class they will be deemed ineligible for 30 days. Here is the rule as it reads, "If a student is not passing all courses at the end of a final grading period, student is ineligible for first period of 30 consecutive calendar days in the interscholastic athletic event in which the student is a contestant. There is no requirement that the student competed in the sport previously. Students in baseball or softball have the same penalty as all other students."
2019-2020 Yearbooks- These will be in soon. Please know that with the pandemic/derecho/using a new company our yearbook may not be quite the same as years past.
