Pumpkins, Leaves, and Colder Weather
By: Lexy Peterson
Fall is the time when the hot summer fades into a cool, peaceful autumn. Leaves begin to fall off trees, pumpkins start growing, and the temperatures drop to just right.
Pumpkins have always symbolized fall in my mind. Whether it was going to a pumpkin patch, carving them and putting them on our front porch, or my mom cooking roasted pumpkin seeds.
When you picture fall in your head, isn't leaves from trees almost always one of the things you picture? Playing in the leaves or watching them change color. Nature is a huge aspect of autumn.
Another part of autumn is the weather. Rain, colder temperatures, finally wearing coats again, and tons more. It's still nice enough to be outside, whether its a football game or trick or treating.
In this display, right in the center is a orange shirt. I get a sense of the orange representing a pumpkin. The dress to the right of that has colors similar to leaves. And then to the very left is a trench coat, showing you a fashionable coat for the weather about to come. The colors are mono-toned but still catching my eye.
