From the Nurse
This is a friendly reminder that in order to ensure student safety, students are not allowed to bring medication of any kind to campus. If your child needs to take ANY medicine while at school, you must bring paperwork from their doctor and complete additional paperwork with the Nurse. Please discuss this with your child.
Students ARE allowed to bring cough drops for a cough or sore throat. They are not allowed to share them.
We encourage students to bring extra clothing and hygiene products they may need while at school. We have a few items available for emergencies. If supplies run low, a parent will need to bring your student a change of clothes.

Health Class: Opt-In Information
As part of our science and health curriculum, the ESTEEM curriculum will teach 6th and 7th grade students about the human reproductive system, abstinence, and human sexuality. Parents can preview the materials for these units at https://esteemjourney.com. A print copy of the curriculum is available at your child’s campus. Parents/Guardians may contact their school to schedule an appointment for viewing.
Parents must go to the Parent Self-Serve Portal at
https://frontline.tylerisd.org/selfserve/EntryPointHomeAction.do?parent=true
and complete the Health Opt-In Form.
Human sexuality education begins at home. You are your child’s primary educator and the most important influence on your child's health decisions. The ESTEEM lessons are designed to reinforce what you teach at home.
If you have questions about the ESTEEM curriculum, please email Hayley Skinner, Coordinator of Health and Physical Education at Hayley.Skinner@TylerISD.org.
