Within the last several weeks, we have seen an increase in gastrointestinal issues with students and staff (ie. diarrhea, vomiting, stomachache). Please keep students home that are displaying the aforementioned symptoms. They should be able to return to school 24 to 48 hours after symptoms have resolved. Please encourage frequent handwashing and increase hydration, too.
If your child has had a fever, they can return to school 24 hours later if fever free and without using fever reducing medications. Make sure that your children are frequently washing their hands and avoiding other sick individuals. As always follow up with your pediatrician if symptoms are not resolving.
If your child is frequently coughing and unable to participate in normal school activities, please keep them home to rest and follow up with your health professional. Thank you so much for your cooperation.
As always, our crew here at Aura has worked diligently to clean our building. We have put in some additional strategies to help increase a deeper clean. Hopefully, by working together we can get through this quickly.
