Week 7, T3 2022
9/9/22 - He Pānui Wiki Whitu, Whānga Tuatoru
Tēnā koutou katoa (hello everyone)
This has been the day of big news. Firstly the awesome announcement of the arrival of George Douglas Rogers; Born 4/9/22; 5.8 pounds / 2.66kg - congratulations from all of 'Team Gladdy'. Sophie, Sam and George are all doing well and we look forward to meeting wee George over the coming months. For now rest up and enjoy being together as a family.
And secondly, we acknowledge the passing of a steadfast, stoic, dedicated, admirable world leader - Queen Elizabeth 2. At assembly today we talked about the impact of this around the world and the sadness/interest/conversation/discussion her passing will generate.

Plant Stall - Gearing Up For A Bumper Year
Our plant stall has gained quite the following over the years, but we need plenty of plants in order to maintain it’s stellar reputation! All types of plants sell well - veges, herbs, shrubs, flowers and natives - we’ll take any you can spare! We’ve also found garden pots and ornaments are popular, as well as indoor plants - any cuttings gratefully received. Message Kat on 022 425 7760 if you need any potting mix or pots, or if you’d like some help with potting up. Similarly, if you have plants potted up but don’t want to look after them until November, let us know and we’ll take care of them for you.
Community Scarecrow Making
This year the Scarecrow Fair theme is 'Space'. Get your friends and neighbours organised to start creating community scarecrows. We'd love to see them popping up any time from now on. This year there will be a major prize for the winning entry and we'd love to do a push on community involvement to amp up our revitalised scarecrow drive.
