2016 marks 400 years since William Shakespeare's death. So we have to celebrate his genius and the inspiration he has given to billions of people through the ages.
And if we told you that there's a way to celebrate him and help people?
British Council are partnering with VSO (Voluntary Services Overseas- a charity in the UK) to use the power of Shakespeare to give real help to children in some of the world's poorest communities and to increase funds and awareness of their work in education globally.
HOW CAN WE JOIN IT?
It's easy! You have to record a 30 seconds video or short text on your favorite Shakespeare moment with your phone's camera. Just use your creativity and in an half minute you have helped children. I the video or text you can include a little presentation of yourself and give a motivation to your choice. But you can also write something short on your favorite Shakespeare moment to share on social media.
An opportunity for millions of people across the world in over 140 countries to actively participate in an unique digital collaboration as well as experience Shakespeare’s works directly through brand new productions of his plays, film, exhibitions, public readings and educational resources.
